Neha Nayyar is a CPA, registered BAS Agent, and the founder of Future Proof Accountants. With over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, including building and selling her own bookkeeping practice, she understands the day-to-day realities that practice owners face.

She founded Future Proof Accountants after seeing a gap between academic training and what accountants actually need to run efficient, technology-driven practices. FPA now delivers regular live training, a growing on-demand course library, and hands-on AI implementation support to accounting and bookkeeping practices across Australia and New Zealand.

Neha specialises in Xero ecosystem mastery and Claude AI workflows for accountants. Every course, template, and system she teaches comes directly from what she uses in her own practice. No theory, no generic AI hype. Just practical tools that work.

How Future Proof Accountants started

Before I ever ran a practice, I was a teacher. In India I taught accounting and economics to high school students and university-level classes at college, and I loved the moment a concept clicked for a student. That love of teaching never left me.

I moved to Australia in 2007 and opened my own practice in 2010. Like most practice owners, I learned the systems the hard way: Xero, workflow, staff, and the constant gap between what I had been taught and what actually kept a practice running.

In May 2018 I brought the two together. I ran my first live webinar, sharing the Xero workflows and reporting templates I had built for my own clients. Other accountants kept asking for more, and Future Proof Accountants grew from there.

When I later built and sold my bookkeeping practice, it confirmed what FPA is about. Practices that run on documented systems are easier to grow, easier to staff, and worth more when you step away. Today that same thinking drives our AI training: practical workflows tested in a real practice first, then taught the way a good teacher would, step by step, so it actually sticks.
